Jake and Marissa just got engaged one month ago! They had only been wedding planning for 30 days when they tied the knot. Yep!!! You read that right. They promptly brought together a 75+ person attendance and hosted the most beautiful wedding day. All this was planned in just THIRTY days!
So, naturally I couldn't help myself since I was so excited and motivated by their energy. I had to to share their story right away. Three days later, I'm blogging their wedding day. This one just cannot wait. I'm still in awe of everything they were able to put together in such little time. And wow, they did so good!!
You absolutely have to check out all these wedding photos and the beauty they made from just 30 days of wedding planning. And their vows, oh my gosh! The absolute magic Jake created when he gave Marissa the bucket list gift she never expected. PERFECTION!
Keep reading for more details about their wedding day in 30 days!
Typically when I connect with new clients, their wedding date is months away. We have an abundance of time! There's plenty of opportunity to work through all the kinks that might be, when planning a wedding. Therefore, when Marissa contacted me just TEN DAYS before their wedding date, there was a lot to work through in less than two weeks. Needless to say, it was the fastest booking I've worked with yet. Not many people are planning a wedding in just a month's time. Nonetheless, this just goes to show it is totally possible and it can be picture perfect!
Jake and Marissa's wedding had the backdrop of a fairytale at The Red Farm House in Parker, CO. The bridal party attire was stunning in the various shades of pink and khaki. The florals, the colors were so vibrant. Their entire day, ha well the 90 minutes I photographed was so dreamy. Their wedding day selfishly left me wanting more, because beautiful souls like this create magic!
For their wedding, we had a very tight two hour photography max. For Jake and Marissa, I had to make that two hours totally worth it! I had to tell as much of their story as I could and we did it in less than 2 hours total. We got the bridal party shots, family portraits, some quick details and of course the all important bride and groom portraits.
Ideally is it nice to have the extra months for planning, maybe. But when you've known each other since middle school and you've been close for more than a decade there's no reason to wait another year! They were ready to be married now!
The vows I keep talking about!
Jake reaches into his breast pocket, to pull out what appeared very similar to the shape and size of the often vow books we often see used today. However, it wasn't just his vows. He pulled out a small green polka dot journal that Marissa had given him as a gift years ago. Within this journal Marissa shared her deepest bucket-list journeys that she'd hope to someday check off her list. Jake shared a few of these details that included how she hoped to fall love. Get married. Explore different parts of the globe and more.
While Jake shared some of these bucket list items, that can now be considered "checked off" of Marissa's list. He also shared a long list of reasons why he loves her. While adding that he had continued to add to the journal, memories they shared on journeys they had together. Plus scribing new bucket-list items for them to complete together. While he kept those details a secret, he passed the journal across to Marissa and that made it her turn to share.
Although it took her a moment to recover from his heartfelt delivery. Marissa did a stunning job overcoming her emotions to share her extended love for Jake. Wrapping it up with, she can't wait to do more crazy bucket-list things with him, like this, GETTING MARRIED! Now that was enough she said, and it was on to the rings.
W-O-W
I just truly can't say enough about this day. The fact that they got engaged a month ago and started planning immediately. To make this unforgettable day in just a few short weeks is incredible. Following their birdseed exit they all gathered at Maggiano's for more laughter and Italian cuisine. Later they will spend their honeymoon in New York. Congratulations to another love story!
If you're not planning a speedy wedding like this, maybe you're more in the beginning stages of just getting engaged. Check out this adorable surprise proposal
