Standley Lake Family Portraits | Westminster Colorado Photographer | The F family

I met up with Vanessa and her family at Standley Lake in Westminster. It was a beautiful spring night! Vanessa reached out to me with an extra special request, she wanted to gift her mother a photo shoot for Mother’s Day. However, she also wanted to incorporate her mother’s horses. There is always a first time for everything, and this session was my first session with horses! I reached out to some wonderful colleagues and got some location suggestions, Standley lake was the best choice. It was also recommended that I bring an assistant. Luckily, I knew someone who would fit that bill perfectly. Taylor helped me keep the horses organized as. Taylor also helped get the horses attention to keep them looking forward and keep their ears up. With her help and skill the horses we were able to capture these wonderful moments for Vanessa’s mother for Mother’s Day.
The sunset shot of Vanessa’s mother and father is one of my favorites from their session. Even though it was my very first session with horses, I hope its not the last. This was a wonderful experience to share with their family!
