Vanessa reached out to me with an extra special request, she wanted to gift her mother a photo shoot for Mother’s Day. However, she also wanted to incorporate her mother’s horses. There’s a first time for everything, and their session was my first session with horses! I reached out to some wonderful colleagues and got some location suggestions as well as it was recommended that I bring an assistant. Luckily, I knew someone who would fit that bill perfectly. Taylor helped me keep the horses organized as well as getting their attention to keep them looking forward and keep their ears up. With her help and skill with horses we were able to capture these wonderful moments for Vanessa’s mother for Mother’s Day.
The day we did Vanessa’s family photos it was insanely windy at Standley Lake. Yet with 3 horses, 3 dogs we made some magic happen with these large group shots!
This sunset image is one of my favorites from their session. Even though it was my very first session with horses, I hope its not the last. This was a wonderful experience to share with their family!
