Snowy Winter Engagement Photos With Their Yellow Lab Champ

Engagement Photos Colorado with dog in the snow

Mountain Engagement Photos |Mount Falcon Park

These winter engagement photos at Mount Falcon turned out just unbelievable. This might just be the snowiest engagement session I have ever captured.

I am so excited to also be working with Duston and Kelsey, not only for this session. But also for their 2022 Colorado Fall wedding at Shupe Homestead. Since they have lots of color planned for their fall wedding. They hoped for a snowy winter engagement session. Needless to say, Kelsey got her wish. We had an abundance of snow falling all afternoon!

Engagement Photos + A Blizzard

Unfortunately, Colorado has been extremely dry this season. Our wait for any amount of snow fall had been much longer than we thought it would be. Finally, snow was in the forecast and we planned their engagement session for the very next day. Both Kelsey and I were so excited. We all packed up and head west to Mount Falcon. Along with their pup champ.

Since it has been so dry, we expected this day to be much of the same. A slight dusting of fresh snow, just enough to make it light and bright . BUT Mother Nature had other plans. When it started snowing the accumulation was at an extensive rate! Luckily, we made it to Mount Falcon safe, and had the place all to our selves!

Mount Falcon Park was the snowiest I'd ever seen it!

We started with pics of their pup first. His name is Champ. He is their yellow lab. Since Kelsey and Duston LOVE being dog parents, clearly Champ had a job to do. He patiently waited as we got ready in their beyond snowy, nearly blizzard like, engagement photos.

They made Champ the most adorable sign. He was so cute. If you haven't checked out my journal, I love animals and they are 100% welcome to join any session. *Just so long as we follow all the rules posted for animals*. We tried to get some photos of him alone with the sign, but Champ needed to be close to his people! Nonetheless I am in love with how these winter engagement photos turned out.

Dogs Are Always Welcome*

Not to mention, I am so excited to shoot their autumn wedding at the Shupe Homestead later this fall. But for now, I am going to continue editing the rest of their engagement session. This is just their quick preview. Enjoy!
