Oh my gosh, I am still waiting for the moments to work with another amazing couple for their Kauai Elopement. Or any Hawaiian island elopement for that matter! Hawaiian micro-weddings and elopements are absolutely stunning. As a destination wedding photographer, I'd say the Hawaiian Islands should definitely be one place to consider if you're planning a tropical destination wedding day.

A few key items to note about planning a Kauai Elopement. Some destinations across the US have direct flights right to the Hawaiian islands of your choice. These flights could be longer for any little ones coming to celebrate. But when bringing all things wedding, or even if your bridal party and family are traveling with you. A direct flight can be a much safer option. It greatly increases your chances of making sure you all arrive at your destination when you planned. AND that all your belongings and friends make it too!
For the spring of 2021 I planned to shoot Emanuel and Allie's micro wedding on Kauai. The hubby and the kids were supposed to come along too. But we all know how that story goes...COVID19 had a different arrangement for them and us. However, Allie and Emanuel lucked out big time. They opted to host their wedding on their very own ranch in Colorado. And I was able to still be their wedding photographer. All in all, now I don't think they would change a thing. But Kauai better be ready, because I anticipate a sweet anniversary session coming up soon. I'll tell you more about Emmanuel and Allie's day in another journal entry. But for now. Back to Kalena + Brandon.
