Holy smokes, how adorable are Stephanie and her little boys. I met up with their family at one of my favorite little spots to shoot, in Westminster. Their family was all set and ready for their family portraits, regardless of the fact it was pretty chilly. We made movement a priority to try and keep everyone warm! When your’re photographing families in Colorado, you just never know what type of weather you may get.
This park in Westminster is perfect for family portraits. It has a great circular path, that allows for tons of different portrait opportunities. In the winter, these shots are super rustic, but they still turn out just beautifully. Just a little further down the path and you reach the lake where you can also see the mountains on a nice day. Not to mention, there are tons of birds’ nests and wild life around. I have seen some beautiful Great Blue Heron, owls, and ducks.
