Clint and Chey

August 2020

Estes Park Elopement, yes please! Followed by additional wedding portraits in Rocky Mountain National Park, heck yes! I was elated when Clint contacted me via @instagram to chat about their upcoming elopement plans! We exchanged a few messages about their wedding day and we were off scouting since their date was just a few short months away! A few weeks before their elopement I headed up to Estes Park to see our their picks, in person. It was perfect. Since Clint and Chey were traveling from Oklahoma, I was able to send them images of their locations as well as live video. Client trust was huge, as they had never seen what we were planning in person, only I had!

The week before their wedding, the 2020 wildfires in Colorado were getting closer and closer to Rocky Mountain National Park. The smoke in the sky was excessive! It was not recommended that you be outside for any length of time, especially if you had asthma or other lung complications. The air quality was so unhealthy! I quickly checked back with Clint and Chey to check on any health concerns for family or friends. Safety is ALWAYS a priority. I suggested they get a few cans of Oxygen just to be extra prepared. Coming to higher elevation, when your not used to it, can already complications. It is best to #alwaysbeprepared

As their Estes Park Elopement date got closer, we continued to watch the fires nearing Rocky Mountain National Park, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic reports. We needed to continue to do our best to keep everyone healthy and safe but also get these two married! Shockingly on the day of their ceremony, the sky was almost perfectly clear! You could see the fabulous Rocky Mountains from their ceremony site and we knew our trip to RMNP would be that much more epic. We ended their portraits with an outfit change, a quick burst of rain and some awesome silhouettes.

Please also note that Captured Perspective Photography follows all COVID-19 guidelines, masks are worn during all session times by all photographers and assistants.
