Second shoot a wedding in one of the Redwood State Parks?! Um, (without hesitation) yes please! That is about how quickly I responded to Jenae (Jenae Lopez Photography)when she said she was looking for a second photographer to join her in Humboldt. I’ve got an amazing 40 before 40 list going on, and visit the Redwooods was on my list. Since I so love to travel, I couldn’t have been happier when my ticket was booked and my bags were packed.
If you have never been to the Redwoods, I highly suggest you add it to your list. If your planning an elopement or intimate destination wedding, this place should definitely be considered. Following the ceremony, we were able to take the couple off for their personal romantics. Every where you turned there was another epic spot to shoot at.
Once we finished the couples portraits, they had an old fashioned picnic in the park for their “reception.” A few speeches were given and the food was set out on the picnic tables. It was perfect, not to mention delicious.
Another beauty of this particular area of the park is water access. When Jenae’s couple wanted to get in the water in their wedding attire we quickly followed. It was a wonderful way to end their wedding day!
