Picking your perfect wedding photographer can come with its handful of challenges. If you have landed on this page, maybe you’re taking the time to do some extra research or maybe your narrowing down your final list of photographers. Remember, most photographers need a contract signed for your wedding date to be officially saved. If your on the fence of who may be right for you, these helpful tips can guide you to pick your perfect wedding photographer on your dream wedding day.

Tip 1: Have you secured your budget?

All of my pricing is listed directly on my website. I don’t want my clients to feel mislead by how much their coverage is actually going to cost (#nohiddenfees). That being said, you can also request specialized pricing that is within your personal price range. I can work to create an ideal package just for you. Don’t need a custom album now? Not a problem! We can remove it. Want two photographers but less hours of coverage? I can arrange that too. Don’t hesitate to ask!

Tip 2: What style are you looking for?

As my main page says, I consider my style vibrant (exciting; stimulating; lively) and radiant (emitting rays of light; shining; bright) but still true to life. If you’re looking for muted tones or super light and airy we may not be the best fit. But guess what? That’s okay! There are a lot of amazing photographers to choose from, and every photographer offers different styles of artistic editing and expression. Tip 3: Did you research the reviews?

Most photographers you come across should have a fully running website, some type of social media source for additional influence and most importantly, feedback from past clients. Does the feedback sound honest and upfront? Do they have current reviews from the past few months? These are all hints you may want to look into when reading raves from past clients. You can find most of my reviews on Google and Facebook. If you want extra assurance, I can also get you in contact with previous clients so you can speak with them directly.

Tip 4: Should we connect?

If you’re feeling that I may be a final candidate, please reach out! Lets connect and see if our personalities mesh. We can schedule a meeting in person, video chat or even a quick phone call. You can even take it one step further and schedule your engagement session. This will give you a great first impression plus allow you to see my style in a more minimal approach. The first few minutes may be awkward. That happens to almost everyone. #dontbeshy.

Yes, I am a stranger telling you to get all ‘lovey’ with your partner while I take your photo. But within minutes we will be strolling along laughing, and having a blast. Also, should you wish to purchase an engagement session separately, I will credit your engagement session towards any upper level wedding collection so your not out any $$$ when you decide to book!
