Great Divide Wedding Photos | Denver Colorado Wedding Photographer | Scott + Heather

April 2019

When I did Heather and Scott’s pre-wedding consult I just knew their Great Divide Wedding was going to be epic. Theme weddings are starting to become more popular but this definitely wasn’t Star Wars or Halloween. Their entire vision for their wedding at the well known Great Divide Brewery was for all their guests to feel like they were at a concert festival!

Scott has a lot of experience in marketing and advertising, he even owns his own company Wild and Co. So with his experience they brought their Great Divide Wedding Festival to life. First, the festival name : Sajopalooza. This was a play on Scott’s last name. The wedding invitations, they looked like mini concert posters with a beautiful Colorado mountain sunset and included all the “festival” details.

On their wedding day, I met Heather and her bridal party at a downtown Denver hotel where she was getting ready. Her and I then ventured off to do her first look with Scott. The bright painted mural of “Love Denver” continued to fit their theme perfectly. We wrapped up their shots and headed to the brewery.

The Great Divide is really great for accommodating wedding portraits and even let us into the barrel room for some formal shots. Following their ceremony they continued their night with toasts, signing the marriage license and some cake cutting. Scot and Heather had Heather’s grandmother act as their witness and it was clearly a very happy moment for Heather.

It was nearing sunset and I could tell this would be a sunset worth capturing. We rounded up the bridal party and headed outside. When I went to get shots of just Scott and Heather, the sunset nearly mimicked their Sajopalooza poster. It was certainly meant to be!

They didn’t plan on any formal dances but throughout the night I was able to get some shots of Scott and Heather dancing, as well as Heather and her father. It was a great way to end their Great Divide Wedding, along with the high five they gave each other as we wrapped up the night.
