Mat and Jen got married at the adorable Lyons Farmette, in Lyons Colorado. I met Mat and Jen just a few just a few weeks before their wedding.  Following a change of heart with their first photographer they hired me less than a month before their special date.  After a quick meet and greet, we connected perfectly!

Their entire wedding was outdoors including the dinner following the ceremony. It was nearly 40 degrees but with the propane heat running, everyone was warm and toasty. It was the perfect day. The true emotion that was captured during their ceremony and dancing just tugged at your heart strings.

Jen lost her father about 8 years ago so her mother walked her down the isle. But during Mat's vows it got even deeper as he lost both his mother and his father, in separate instances 6 weeks apart from each other. This loss happened to Mat about 2 years after him and Jen had met. Between the two of them, having lost 3 out of 4 parents before their wedding made this extremely tear jerking. Mat's sister was also their officiant, her love for this couple was undeniable. Holding back my crocodile tears I continued to shoot away, just sniffling every so often. This wedding had so much passion and so much heart. I will forever feel a special connection to this lovely couple!
